I wonder if the following model, for a charge, would be feasible and maybe be a middle ground. I currently get a daily e-mail from a sports weekly, and it is in a pdf-like format with anywhere from 35 to 55 pages on a daily basis. I do not pay for this. But as many people are not averse to dropping 50 cents to buy a real newspaper why not offer subscriptions from newspapers where you get it delivered to your inbox in PDF form. For me the most annoying part of reading content from an online newspaper is navgating the website. But the daily e-mail I get from the sports weekly is really good. As and FYI, the sports weekly in question is The Sporting News and you can sign up for the free daily e-mail so that you can check it ou.
