Looking for the right solution

We would like to offer free downloads of some of our materials but we would like to be able to do the following:
Gather contact information
Send an email within a few days, automatically, as a follow up
Automatically send an evaluation within a few weeks(this could be an email with a link to an online poll on our site)

Does anyone know of a shopping cart that would allow us to set up the automatic emails or is there a better option?

You can make a simple page taking the E-mail Address and other information from them. After that you can use software to send emails to them...

Typically what you're looking to do is available in higher end shopping carts, or you could use a more affordable shopping cart and combine it with a mailing list service. I've done it both ways, and I found that unless you're making a lot of money already, a little work and less money pays off pretty well.
