Demographic Bidding for AdWords

by on Mar 26th, 2008, 2:13 am
I just logged into my Google AdWords campaign management to find a new feature: demographic bidding. This new feature allows you to bid on, or exclude, certain demographic groups, such as users of a certain age or gender.

A new reporting tool in the campaign management settings shows you a traffic report by gender and traffic report by age for the past seven days. Age is broken down into the age groups of under 17, 18-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-65, and 65+. It then allows you to make adjustments to each bracket by increasing or decreasing your bid by a percentage.

Because this is a new feature, there is no demographic data currently available for me, so I guess all I can do is check back in in seven days.
