Good domain name are usually taken by someone however you should try out your luck by searching through domain suggestion tools like pcnames.com/nameboy.com, there might be possibility that you can pick a good domain name. To grab cheaper domain name you should look for discount coupons which are generally offered by registrars like godaddy/namecheaps.

Re: Looking for Free Italian Directories...

Well, while choosing the domain name you should always remember that the domain name should be your website name. It means the domain should contain the keywords which represents your company. Most of the people will suggest you the short domain names, but it doesn't matter whether domain is short or long. IMO, the 3 keywords domain is easy to market as it will contain the most targeted keywords in it. Use this site to check that domain is available or not. http://instantdomainsearch.com

Also, as said by bobchrist you should be looking for discount coupons to get it cheaper. Below are some coupons that are valid till April 2009.

Wallet30 takes 30% off all .com renewals and all new .com registrations and . This is the most popular Godaddy Coupon for Renewals!!!
Wallet22 takes 20% or £35 off any order over $50
Wallet11 takes 10% off any order.
