using blog for my travel site

Hi World,
I am trying to promote a new travel web site and have a news page set up on it which is my blog. The problem is I'm not sure what exactly I should be putting on it. At the moment I am just putting on travel specials and travel news. If anybody can let me know what info I should be putting on it would be a great help.

Anything that your target audience might be looking. I'm assuming tips, tricks, and specials would be good to use.
