I still belive that even if you submit articles to gain backlinks to your website is not classified by google and some other search engines as a qulity website backlink due to the duplicate content. But i do belive that there are readers out there that will visit your website through a article.
So do you submit articles/press releases online for a backlink or for a visitor????
I occasionally still submit articles to the article banks for back links and visitors, but since the value has been discounted in recent times this has fallen off somewhat. Instead, I’m putting the articles into blogs and then promoting the blogs, which seems to work better.
Be careful with article submission. I read that search engines only count the first article out of the same one you submitted. That would apply to duplicate content, if your article was the same. So, if you submitted 1 article to 100 directories (same exact article), only 1 would count according to the search engines (the backlink).
