Does anyone know where I can find a list of best forums to participate in in order to get the maximum SEO exposure for my websites. I do not intend to spam purely for back links but as time is limited for all of us it helps to decide which forums should we concentrate on participating most in. I believe some forums have no follow tags for even URL's in signatures. Surely it cannot be unethical to expect to get a link back via link in signature just as long as one's contribution is genuine.

You are better off writing quality content instead of just trying to post thousands of times.
Linkbacks from forums are highly devalued because of how easy they are to get -- and the quantity.
Write quality content and people will naturally link to you simply based on that quality.
