Twitter, Facebook and backlinks

Expand Post »
Do Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, MySpace and other soclai networks that have profile status update or tweets (kinda, what are you doing now?) give opportunity for backlinks?
Especially interested in Twitter as URLs are shortened to tiny ones.

Re: Twitter, Facebook and backlinks

Twitter provides a great opportunity for backlinks. A great way to track these shorten urls is by using bit.ly since it provides you with traffic data.

Re: Twitter, Facebook and backlinks

It depends on how many times your link is clicked and retweeted or shared with more and more number of peoples as search engines gives more value to those links.

Sorry but cant agree with you. Twitter Is good for getting traffic but cant help in building backlinks. Twitter is simply a nofollow site which cant contribute in building backlink except providing traffic.

Definitely use bit.ly. Tinyurl is nice but no traffic data.
