Directory vs Article submission for SEO

Hello friends,

I have been testing to write some articles and submit them to article directories and got good SEO results in the first month. But after that, some good keywords that are used to index on the first or second page in Google are not in that position anymore.

I did the same thing on directory submission, it happened the same in the past.

What method is better in term of SEO?

Off Page is very much important to rank a website well. As per you, have tried directory and article submissions both but not got results as per expectations. I will suggest you to do the submissions on popular and high PR sites to achieve good results.

both of them are good and really beneficial. The thing is, on article submission and directory submission, you have to wait until your submission gets an approval yet the assurance of having a strong backlinks is high. And never forget to work on your on-page, it has the power to make your site more friendlier to search engines.

I dont generally see a huge amount of benefit from directories as they take months and months to review and confirm the submission. Articles sites are a bit quicker and if they are 'dofollow' it can be absolutely good. I understand Google dont look at directory submissions as all that valuable unless its dmoz or yahoo director among various other well respected ones.

I would suggest that directory submission is much powerful then it. When directory submissions got approved, you will have Email that they listing got approved. but i think it is due to this that your website may have some inner pages in these pages and they got de indexed.
