Yeah I also use the list mentioned above. You may not see instant result but social bookmarkings are really good for getting traffics.

Stumbleupon, redidit, digg and delicious are the ones that i think you should always submit to. Watch your step at Stumbleupon. I had read a case from a few years ago and that bookmarkng service requires you to post and stumble upon other articles as well as your own. Not sure if it still applies but it is something to keep in mind.
