That's not as easy as it sounds buddy..
Maybe talk to a SEO-specialist, as getting this done by yourself isn't very obvious (as you seem to be pretty new in SEO)

If you really want to be at the top, I suggest you hire someone. Of course, those specialists aren't free, but still worth the cost if they get the job done, no? If you google for it, the web is full of people that occupy themselves with SEO. Maybe they can help you to get started?

If you have low competitive keywords, then yes article submission, directory submission, link will be enough, you can do by your own but for high competitive keywords. you must have to work hard.
