Short Bio:
I am a young man, in my late 20's, that has recently gotten sucked back into the world of *nix. I go by the username of PirateTUX to pay homage to my new master.
During the day, I work as a not-so-mild-mannered IT Support professional, supporting roughly 370 users spread over the entirety of what is commonly referred to as "the midwest". Originally from the middle of the midwest, I just recently moved southeast of the midwest to be with my fiance, who is also from the middle of the midwest.
At night, I enjoy various activities, including but not limited to: playing music with any of three bands I am currently involved with, lifting small yet challenging amounts of weight, and attempting to make sense of the monstrosity of parallelism (in computing, not philosophy) that has overcome the second bedroom in my humble apartment. Eleven servers make quite a noise.
I tend to be wordy, but try to stay interesting. If you want to know more about why my second bedroom's heat vent is closed, yet it stays nice and warm in there, read my blog. If you want to know more about my projects, or me, feel free to ask!
