i recently purchased a new asus laptop. about once in every 5 times i turn it on, a blue screen would appear and i have to force shut down and boot it up again. where should i begin to check for the source of this problem??

ok i just got this laptop from my friend and apparently it seems to have contracted malware, particularly ping.exe? i ran a GMER scan, but i could not save a log file. when i right click my computer and go to properties, i see that it says pentium(R) 4 cpu 2.40ghz 2.41ghz, 2.00 gb of ram. and when i go to device manager and go under processors, it shows me there are 2. does this mean im using 2 processors on one …
