hi this is ram i have a problem whit my windows xp sp2 installation. while installing wiondows in gui mode it shows the error fatal error: the critical system information file (syssetup.inf layout) is corrupt or misssing it shows a log window and close tab down it re starts again …

I am forgeting, what does this path means: [B]multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect[/B] does partition(1) means the primary partition or the other partition? does fastdetect here means that the windows boots skipping the basic devices eg. mouse and keyboard? Any help would be appreciated.
