Is there an advantage to running your e-commerce site on a dedicated IP address? I have been told that if you want to do serious business online and have good Search Engine rankings, you need a dedicated IP and shared hosting is bad. |

I have always thought that having multiple domains point to one site could hurt your rankings. I was just curious if there are any "special practices" to follow when doing this to make sure you do not get penalized by Google for duplicate content? Is my belief no longer relevant? |

Is it wrong for a web site to generate an rss feed consisting of links to stories on other web sites? I think it's a bit misleading but my client wants it. Does that violate any kind of usability/accessibility rule? Thanks, |

Most major sites -- such as DANIWEB -- have a list of links under their name on the search result page... How is this done? Does it depend on rankings or is it a Google tool or sitemap? Thanks, ~Jeff |

So, I want to redirect traffic from: http://somewhere/writing/index.html to: http://overhere/blogs/ I used this in my .htaccess file in the writing directory RewriteRule ^index.*$ http://overhere/blogs/ [R=301,L] which works fine unless someone just visits: http://somewhere/writing/ which takes them to the default 'index.html' page Can anyone help? |
