Hello there, I'm a software developer who (over)uses Java, does a fair bit of Javascript and a dash of C++, and loves the stability of Linux/UNIX. A couple of frameworks I'm using every day are ExtJS and RESTlet, so I'm a front-end AND back-end developer, which feels like standing over a crack during an earthquake sometimes. I'm forty next year and paranoid of falling behind the pack, so I'm interested in whatever new software framework the cool kids are using. After too long in the object-oriented paradigm, I'm trying to get more comfortable in the functional programming paradigm, currently through Javascript, but ultimately with Clojure (modern Lisp variant that runs in the JVM). My favourite colour is blue, as you can see from my beanie.

Dell Vostro 1500 laptop (supplied by employer). Got a few servers in the kitchen running Ubuntu for web, build and file serving; I love those guys with all their blue lights, like to stop and look at them when I get up for a p*ss in the middle of the night.

Skateboarding, ashtanga yoga, computers. I enjoy road-bicycling down hills, but not up them.
