I was introduced to computers and became an Apple afficionado at the ripe old age of 40 as a teacher. Over the nearly quarter of a century since (!!) I have helped to introduce computers into schools, retrained as an IT teacher, started a software company (as Apple Consultants in 1992), was on the internet before the web started, began a series of regional information websites, have designed and hosted hundreds of webpages and domains, and for nearly 8 years have been an authorised reseller for my favourite platform. Who said you can't teach an old dog new tricks! My mainstay has been designing simple, easily downloadable webpages for small businesses - adding bells and whistles only as general technology here (Oz) caught up (ADSL was relatively new in this outpost of the web in the late noughties). So, this old dog continues to try and catch up with newer tricks and would be happy to share any tidbits with like minded.

Almost every Apple from the IIe to Quad core Intel tower; every OS from 6 to Snow Leopard. Started with 1MB of RAM!! on my Mac Plus; now run about 20 computers/devices on a network with TBs storage!!! My son is the techno whizz which makes this possible and contributes to many forums. Questions welcomed.

Travel (not enough). Local histories (have written many pages, large general library). Cooking (was once a chef). Learning about the way my clients' small businesses work. Music (only real stuff up to the 80s). TV & movies (drama, crime, adventure). Gardening (a luxury in older age - wish I'd started sooner).
