Short Bio:
Started s/w development 40 years ago on programmable calculators, paper tape, punch cards, IBM big iron, PDP, VAX, microprocessors like 6502, 8080, Z80, 8086, and then the old PC.
Day job is software architecture and development in C# and C++, related to GPS, surveying, high-precision optical instruments and other such cool stuff.
At home it's software for astronomical and tide computation, plus web sites to present the results, using Modula-2, C++, C#, Delphi, PHP, HTML/JS/CSS.
PC Specs:
Some wintel XP thing, an HP wintel XP thing, and Red Hat on an x86 thing.
Interests:
Frank Zappa for ever.
