So many posts so I haven read them all to see if anyone found a way but I have!
Firstly this requires an iPod or iPhone (this may sound weird bit you'll see!). Let your computer load and go into 'safe mode' and then plug in your iPod. You'll notice the scanner wizard thing pops up! Just ignore the virus alert message. Click next twice until it asks you to browse for a file area. Click browse and then right click on desk top and say 'expand'. This will open up your desktop, leaving you free to use it again!! (still with the virus alert message and background, ignore it or it'll shut tour computer down!) A quick warning though, don't click on the virus alert box, just move it out of viewpoint or it'll keep bugging you.
From here you'll be free to run virus software and hopefully remove the
virus at last!!!
This method may not be reliable on everyone's pc's but it sure did work for me!
Hope this helps for you (if you haven't already solved it your own way!)
