I just upgraded my mac from snow leapord too the new mountain lion. After upgrading , office applications (word, porwerpoint, etc) wont work, producing the error that the application cant be opened beacause powerpc apps are no longer supported. Is there any way to fix this other than paying to upgrade to a new version of office.

I am trying to install XP on an old computer I'm putting back together. I have tried four different HDD, but none of them work. The only one that is in some way being detected displays a blank line at the "IDE Channel 1 Master" slot instead of displaying "None" at the "Detecting IDE Devices". I have tried jumper settings on the HDD, clear CMOS, and changed around some setting in the BIOS setup. And if I need to reload or update the BIOS, how might I go about doing that.

CPU: AMD Anthlon 1833MHz

I have a ibook g4 with 10.4 that i want to reload the OS on. I have a disk that says "iBook G4, Mac OS X install disk 1". I was wondering if there were any other install disks that i need.

how do i run the source file with the compiler

Edit:Never mind i found it in the page. Thanks for the help.

I am starting to learn Java and I downloaded JDK but when i open java.exe or javac.exe it opens then instantly closes. Any answers?
