Wal-Mart retail stores stop selling Linux PCs
According to an Associated Press story just hitting the wires, Wal-Mart is to stop selling computers running the Linux operating system after less than 5 months because, to quote Wal-Mart spokeswoman Melissa O'Brien "This really wasn't what our customers were looking for."

Hardly surprising. Their customer base isn't made up of the few tenths of a percent (at most) of techies who "hate Microsoft" and are willing to put up with the troubles Linux gives (like not being able to run Windows software, for most users especially MS Office and games).
