How did I get to test drive the G1 Google Phone before it’s release date?

all I can say is I asked to see it and my wish was granted. The phones release date is October 22nd,2008.
how did I feel getting to Test drive the G1?

I only had a few minutes to test the G1, I got to slide it open and see the desktop; it was amazing. The only similarity between the iPhone and the Google phone is that they're both smart phones and in my opinion the Google phone would beat the iPhone hands down.

What did the G1 look like?

The exterior design wasn't as thin as the iPhone but When you slide the phone open it’s like seeing a tiny piece of heaven on earth; when you slide it closed it has a small screen that tells you it's locked.

What was installed on the G1?

I don’t know what exactly will be on the phone when you purchase it but I can tell you what I got to see. The phone has a 3.0 Mega Pixel video camera, a touch screen, and a QWERTY keyboard. The main desktop has a very nice background and was very easy to use. Located on the right of the screen there is an arrow that you can touch which will open up the Camera's screen which has several camera apps already installed; the only one I can remember is the shuffle picture app.

When I touched the web browser icon on the desktop; the icons background lit up yellow letting me know it had been clicked; then a new screen appeared with Google.com and on top of the screen there were links to Google applications, one being Gmail.

So over all what did I think of it?
I was very happy with the Google Phone because it was easy to touch each app without the phone being over sensitive like the first iPhone was when it was first released. I found The Google phone aesthetically pleasing and easy to use.
