My computer suddenly turned off and cannot turn back on. It gets stuck on the windows xp loading screen. What do i do, i don`t want to format my hdd because i have important info on it

Try to start PC in Safe mode, and make a restore. If don't work, search a portable disk boot, copy your files on other partition and reinstall the OS!
