I'm using the same bay that the original harddrive was using. The original HD never had this problem so I'm assuming its either the new SSD drive or the bay. I'll re-open the bay and check again that it is sitting properly before replacing the SSD. Thanks again for your responses! :)
If the connection is physically secure and this problem occurs with more than one drive, then you have to assume there is some problem on the system board - a bad connector, controller, or whatever. In such a case, just replacing components is not likely going to fix the problem. You may need a new system board.
There is only one thing worse than an unreliable harddrive, and that's an unreliable Solid State Drive. While you still can return it to the shop you bought it from and get a replacement. If it happens with the replacement drive, then that is the time to wonder if there is a problem with the way it connects within the laptop.
Just installed new SSD hard drive into 2007 MacBook but often it restarts with no warning? Is it possible that its not sitting in bay snug enough and my typing is enough to jar it loose or has anyone else experienced similar problems with SSD drives?
Thanks in advance!
The truth of the matter is that Apple has hit that point where the iPhone has got about as good as it will get, unless Apple proves me wrong and produces something out of leftfield for the iPhone 6 that is. My iPhone 4S does everything I need, and does it very well indeed; there is absolutely no reason for me to upgrade to a 5. However, as those pre-order statistics show, that doesn't mean that the iPhone 5 is a failure, far from it. Anyone with an iPhone 3/3G will be hard-pressed not to be impressed with the 5. Anyone thinking about entering the iPhone market will not be put off by the changes (or lack of them) that the 5 brings. Will the iPhone 5 outsell the 4 and 4S? That really wouldn't surprise me one bit and here's why: at the end of the day, all those commentators asking 'where was the killer feature?' when the iPhone 5 was unveiled, and claiming it to have failed, are missing the point which is so obvious to all fan boys and non-haters out there: the iPhone is the killer feature, simple as...
I got the Apple store few times a week and play around with the iPhone 5 and other things.
I like it. I feel iPhone 5 hasn't fail yet but I don't feel iPhones won't be going anywhere for a while.
I have IPad 2, and currently im using Bluefire reader for DRM PDFs and GoodReader for standard PDF's, I was hoping GoodReader can support DRM but it is not. Now am trying to find some Adobe DRM support ebook readers that is faster than BlueFire and lots of features like GoodReader:
What I have tried are:
Txtr -
Tradebit - it cropped the page
Kobo - cant highlight text, define and note
Bluefire - slow interaction and slow in highlight text
Is it true of DRM supported readers has less functionalities? I'm looking for Adobe DRM Reader with faster response and lots of features like GoodReader or Txtr, free or paid will do.
So should you be worried about the bad guys making your MacBook go bang? No, not according to Be'ery: "The general public should not be worry with this super cool attack - but invest in protection from the usual threats - by installing Antivirus software and being aware of social engineering attacks."
Interesting article.
I think OS X / Macbook has a software includes protection from viruses and malware.
So this is the problem. My little cousin picked up his brother's macbook and dropped it. The macbook turns on and works, except that the screen is very, very dim.
I am trying to find a way to rule out inverter, inverter cable or if it needs a full screen exchange.
Can somebody help me find out if the screen is doomed or I can try something to bring the brightness back?
Again, it is working, my cousin was able to pass a bunch of files to an external hard drive. However, it was a pain as the screen is very dim.
Brightness button does not have any effect. I pressed the brightness button a few times, then the dimming button as well. The laptop seemed unaffected. Didn't get brighter and apparently didn' get any dimmer.
