Leading agency institutional trading firm, based in Northern NJ, for derivatives seeks a full time developer to help build FIX capabilities. Candidates will be joining a team to define and implement FIX services for use in increasing the firm's electronic trading capabilities and to be used as market standards for FIX trading. The work would include the implementation of new protocols to support products that have not been traded electronically.
Experience:
• 5+ years of solid development experience in VB6 and Visual .Net.
• Strong object-oriented design skills
• Working knowledge of multithreaded applications a plus
• Financial trading systems experience a plus
• Knowledge of fix protocol and SQL a plus.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate to technical requirements
• Structured and organized thinker who executes well against plan
• Must be responsible, motivated and have an excellent work ethic
