I am working on a coilgun, for a more in depth explanation of how it works PM me ;). Basically it uses electricity to launch a projectile I need to output pulses of varying lengths to precisely regulate the on and off times of some circuits. So basically I need to make a very precise switching system nanoseconds would be ideal. I would like to use a parallel port or serial port because of the pins make it easy to interface with the circuits. So a basic tutorial as to how to access the ports, and then the pins and how to send highs and lows would be awesome. Anything you guys got would be cool thank you so very much.
