I am still starting out with c++, but i like tackling complicated tasks when i learn. I have a project in mind that requires me to play MP3s. Since i will be doing MOST of the code in c++ (at least that is what i plan at the moment), i figure why not put the mp3 support right in there...

So anyways, how would i go about this? I know that it will be hard, but an answer would still be nice.

The OS will be linux (Damn Small or Ubuntu, not sure yet), and i don't think there will be a GUI (just text based).

If there is no answer for the MP3 support (i googled it, and didn't find really ANY code for c++ mp3 support), then what about CD support? I would be semi-fine with encoding my mp3 files onto a cd-audio if that would be any easier, but i would still prefer MP3.

Sorry this is so vague. It is late, and i have a headache, so.... yeah... :(
