I'm sure this has been asked before but I searched to no avail. I'm very pleased that Apple include Apache2 and PHP in all their builds but the fact they don't include GD, PDO_mysql and mcrypt (among others) isn't so great. I had this sorted until a recent update by phpize'ing the required extensions but trying to repeat the same process again doesn't seem to work anymore. And until now this didn't bother me as I had no projects that needed them.
Has anyone else managed to update the PHP module? (i know Marc Liyanage makes one but it wont run on my machine) Or How would I go about installing another version of PHP and pointing to it? Is that even adviseable?
I have limited experience in using the Apache config files so wouldn't even know where or how to start.
Any help/links would be greatly appreciated,
