Get windows transfer mode using c program

Hi all,

I would like get Windows XP transfer mode (UDMA, DMA, PIO ...etc) using C language. Is it possible? If possible, can anyone of you please teach me on that? I would like to know the detail of the message return from the function too. Thanks.
