Borland from ages past, as in late 80's - mid 90's? i hear ya, but c compilers have changed since then, while borland has all but shit the bed.
but yeah, Microsoft is famous for making their stuff, um, "helpful"

thats why i prefer to stay with GCC. (except at work, i have to use National Instrument's peculiar C libraries....)
