Making a python DOS-esque script into a GUI?

Ok in the journal community, livejournal, you are limited to 1000 tags. THey decided to do this randomly after i accumulated more than 1000 tags.

So I want to merge tags.. there is only one script out there. (LJ themselves dont support merging)

Would that be possible? Easy? I dont know anything about coding programs ><

Im graphic design, I do HTML/CSS and rarely venture off into BYOND or anything else, not coding lol. It's too much like math. *hiss* :3
