Hi, my name is Strong(such a cool name :]), and I am a high school student looking for career path to follow. I have found that computer engineering may be an fun and interesting career, so I have came up with a couple of interview questions, to learn more about the job. So if you have time for this please answer my questions. Thank you :D

1. Do you love what you do? why?

2. Do you interact with other people or other engineers a lot?

3. How dangerous is your job? Have you ever been seriously injured?

4. How did you get interested in the field you work today?

5. How are the work hours? Do you get breaks or off days?

6. Do you feel you have accomplished what you wanted?

7. Would you suggest this field to me? Why or what field would you suggest?

8. Where do you do most of your work, in an office, outside, etc.?

9. How were you able to pay for your schooling?

10. Would you say your job is easy or hard, and why?

I'm not in computer engineering. This is a computer science forum, which is a different field than computer engineering. The exact definition of computer engineering varies from university to university. But it's Halloween season, so I'm going to put on my computer engineering hat and answer your questions. I'm a computer programmer.1. Do you love what you do? why?

No. I'm working on menial business programming.

2. Do you interact with other people or other engineers a lot?

Yes.

3. How dangerous is your job? Have you ever been seriously injured?

No. But a previous job was dangerous because I was programming some laser measurement device calibration system, and I could have gone blind.

4. How did you get interested in the field you work today?

I didn't "get" interested -- I was interested in computer science before I had heard of computers.

5. How are the work hours? Do you get breaks or off days?

They are very flexible. Of course I do.

6. Do you feel you have accomplished what you wanted?

Huh? I'm very young, it would be very sad if I have nothing left to live for.

7. Would you suggest this field to me? Why or what field would you suggest?

If you enjoy any well-paid field, you won't need people to suggest it to you. I suggest looking at programming -- I can't imagine anybody enjoying computer engineering if they don't enjoy some kind of programming in general.

8. Where do you do most of your work, in an office, outside, etc.?

In an office, obviously.

9. How were you able to pay for your schooling?

Parents plus a pair of scholarships plus loans.

10. Would you say your job is easy or hard, and why?

It's easy, because I'm smart.

Yes, otherwise I probably wouldn't do it often.

I guess, I am a college student in class with other engineering students.

3. How dangerous is your job? Have you ever been seriously injured?

Very dangerous. There are times when I wan't to throw my protoboard or the computer that I am working at people/wall/Object.

4. How did you get interested in the field you work today?

Right now, "work" means something different to me that it would have
in future years, but I got interested when I took my first programming
class( C++ ).

5. How are the work hours? Do you get breaks or off days?
Work on weekdays, party on weekend, sure its college.

6. Do you feel you have accomplished what you wanted?

No, Not yet. I will feel accomplished when I have enough language
to create my own programming language that becomes revolutionary.

7. Would you suggest this field to me? Why or what field would you suggest?

Maybe, but I don't know you.

8. Where do you do most of your work, in an office, outside, etc.?
In my dorm, engineering building , and even more obviously a computer.

9. How were you able to pay for your schooling?
Loans and scholarships, and grants.

10. Would you say your job is easy or hard, and why?

If I wanted easy, I would have become a Doctor.
