have you tried matlab 2011??
it has all provisions for direction finding and beamforming and many more array processing tools as matlab 2011 include phased array system toolbox.
if you dont have matlab 2011 then let me knw at [email-removed]
i will provide you a download link for full version..
actually i am also working on the same project..
