Nice, Interesting Site

First post; Very nice and interesting site. I checked the link for C/C++ books and i didn't see a book for beginners. What book do you recommend reading for a person that is new to programming and doesn't have any programming background. I am new and ready to learn. I would like to start of by learning C++. I need a book with step by step information with many tutorials. All input is appreciated.

Moving this thread with redirect to C++ book reviews forum so that in the future when someone goes to that forum looking for a book, they'll find this thread :)

Top of [thread=10232]this list[/thread]! Do you consider that list fairly accurate?

Accurate enough to keep someone well documented for an entire career. ;)
