Speech recognition

Expand Post »
Hi every body!

I want to make project on speech recognition in linux using C/C++. In which user will speak linux commands(mostly letter by letter) and that will be entered on the console. ex- if he wants to enter 'ps -l' he has to speak- 'p', 's', 'minus', 'l'.

I dont know how to go about it. One of my teachers has worked on speech recognition few years back and says that he doesnt know whether now there are better techniques to be used for speech recognition. So i just want to know the steps & techniques to go for my project.

Thanks in advance

Re: Speech recognition

If I were you I'd google for "Speech Recognition in C/C++" or something like that and see what comes up.

Re: Speech recognition

Check out Open Mind Speech here. This is for development under KDE and/or Gnome.
