connecting VC++ w/ MSSQL 2005

hi everyone im wondering how will i connect a VC++ program with an SQL server. i would like the program to have direct access with the tables/data.

if you can provide a sample source code would help. thanks.

mysql web site has lots of examples and also free MYSQL++ classes.
