Real-world programs?

Expand Post »
Does anyone know of a "real-world" program with source that has good documentation and comments, so that say an intermediate-beginner programmer could look through it and get a general idea of how these programs are created? By real-world I mean a program that does something, not just show how a certain programming principle is used.

Thanks!

Re: Real-world programs?

Look at open source code. There are hundreds of millions of lines of open source code in the GNU OS.
