graphical roulette game

Expand Post »
im currently making a graphical roulette game using directx - essentially trying to produce a 3D realistic looking spinning roulette wheel.

can anyone with any experience in graphics programming using opengl or Directx give me hints from their experience in attempting graphics programming in relation to making computer games

also if you have any experience in using 3D modelling packages, i would be greatful if you could recommend any that are easy to use and are in a reasonable price range, i.e. less that 500 dollars or british pounds.

thanks for your help
