Yes, please read this . You could also try the Irrlicht engine, it's free and relatively ease to use.

The TrueVision3D engine is the best by far. Check out http://www.truevision3d.com/ . I've actually started developing an MMORPG called World Domination Online (I did by the commercial license which is not free). Check out my website www.dtmstech.com . I'm still recruiting developers if you interested in learning about game development. You don't have to be an expert (although some programming or modeling experience is preferred)
