message applet failed

I am having a problem opening java applets...like in yahoo games or im windows.. on the bottom it says applet notinitited
I'm a newbie not too technical an answer please

Do you have a java enabled browser? And it might be helpful to post your code to make sure there is no errors in it.

Where would I find the code. Under tools in browser Java is checked. Use Java 2 v 1.4.2

Sorry, I don't know why I asked for code. Anyways, you might be playinng under a firewall, say at school, you would definately get this message.while trying to open a yahoo game. Now, if your coding these applets, and you run them in a web page and don't show up, you can look in your interenet options to see if the java option is checked. If it's checked and it still doesn't work, you can uncheck it and it will probably work then.
