Java downgrade question

I need to downgrade my java version from 1.5 to 1.3 for a project and I've downloaded the .sh file:
j2re-1_3_1_23-solaris-i586.sh

I'm not sure how to implement this or if there are any other steps.
thanks

I'm trying to downgrade to java 1.3 from 1.5 and I downloaded the shell at sun's website

j2re-1_3_1_23-solaris-i586.sh

I implemented the file with:
sh j2re-1_3_1_23-solaris-i586.sh in terminal on my mac.

It comes up with a corrupted file error.

Anyone know what happened?

Are you running solaris?, if you are then you will need to execute the .sh file

I'm pretty sure .sh won't work for me now that I think about it. I have a .dmg.bin file for a 1.3 version but that also won't work.

Java1.3.1Update1.dmg.bin

dmg.bin?

(running Mac OSX Tiger)
