getting the output of a terminal as input into a java program.

Hi

It is possible to execute terminal commands in java, but is it possible to then get the output or result of the terminal command as input into a java program?

If so, may someone tell me how or point to materials that I can read.

Sure, take a look at Process and ProcessBuilder.
