just have the materials like ;notes from the internet and books and start from the hello world point of view.get note from sun java website and jdk compiler they offer freely on their website.have good java start.

I was making the point that the first place to look should be the sun site itself. Its the first hit for "learn java" and "java tutorials" in google.
