Get MAC Address from JApplet

Is it possible to get a user's mac address when he visits my website through a JApplet?

ARP works inside one physical network only (inside a LAN for instance). It does not stretch across the Internet. Hence there is no way absolutely you can get a MAC address using the user's IP address...

Besides, why would u want to do something like that?
