Image background in J2ME form

Hey guys...,
Is there any way.....to use background image for a form...in j2me without using canvas because if i use canvas means i cannot add textfield and all...

or else is there any option for setting different font color

i think that is impossible with current MIDP 2.0
because it is not supported :)

you can implement your own screen manager using canvas, but it will take some time. and also you need to handle different types of input and output...
