firefox proxy session password

Expand Post »
Hello Friend,
Please answer my question.
I am behind a firewall and proxy server.
I enter the proxy password on firefox and when connect to any site that uses java, the java virtual machine also asks me for proxy password. It actualy does not ask me but it shows the username and password(in the form of asterisk) that I entered in firefox. So in a sense it catches them from the running firefox session. Now I want to know, just for the sake of increasing my knowledge, how is that done and where does firefox store its running session's proxy password. Thanks in anticipation.
