Web Application for all mobile phones

Please I am currently working on a web application project that works on both the desktop and mobile devices also. The web application is to be for all and sundry and therefore I need it to work on all forms of mobile devices (old and new). The web application uses the SQL server database so I thought I could use ASP.NET but then I realised that the Mobile SDK is now obsolete. I really need help with the proper platform to use and how to go about it. Thanks a bunch in advance!
