Delphi 2005 personal and Databases

Does anybody know how to work with database components in Delphi 2005 Personal ?
As far as I can tell by now, database components are supported in the c# part of the IDE only. I established a connection to mySQL 5 with the no - component - library mySQL direct but it doesn't support Parameters, which I need for my project.
So, can you tell me how to work with database components in the Pascal Part of the IDE ?
