How can I verify the size of memory stick?

Hi,

I have a usb-memory stick. I want to verify if the advertized size of the usb-sick is correct. I know a program from 360.cn that can do this in about 2 minutes(8 gb stick). But it is not a standalone program. I also know H2testw, but it is very slow.

Could somebody maybe provide me with some resources or ideas on how to write such a program? The best would be a finished program with sources in C or Python.
