I assume by "booming" you mean popularity. In what context are we talking about? There are a lot of different places programming languages are used in very different ways, and a number of variables could affect which language is "booming" in a certain area and for certain people.

deception is 100% correct.But as per my experience if you want to work with system level programming then the best programming language will be C,C++(apart from assembly language).
There are many languages which are gaining popularity in terms of increase in there usability like PHP which was earlier meant as a project and later on it has gained popularity.

So it is hard to judge which language is the most popular language as each languages have upper hand on other languages on some points and are below others oon some.
